Generative Music Engine & Harmonic Geometry
- React

I designed and built a generative music engine that transforms music theory into a geometric playground. Using React for the reactive interface and Web Audio API for real-time processing, I developed a graph-based system that allows composers and sound designers to navigate complex harmonic spaces. From implementing Neo-Riemannian transformations to creating a sequencer based on radial symmetry and offsets, this project solves the problem of mechanical composition, offering a workflow where mathematics dictates the beauty of the sound.
Stelar Harmonicon (Geometric Engine): Uses algorithms based on symmetry and radial geometry to generate melodic patterns. By manipulating variables such as Phase Offsets, Elasticity, and Quantized Offsets, the system translates geometric shapes into complex MIDI sequences, enabling the creation of organically evolving generative music.
Intelligent Harmonic Graph: Implements a graph visualization for navigating scales and chords. The system utilizes a "Magic Glue" concept (affinity based on shared notes), allowing for smooth transitions based on interval distance and musical set theory.
Neo-Riemannian Theory Module: Includes advanced transformations such as Parallel (P), Relative (R), and Leading-tone (L). This module allows users to explore tonal space non-linearly, connecting chords through minimal voice leading—perfect for ambient textures and cinematic scoring.
Total Control Architecture: The system integrates full management of dominant chains, automatic cadences, inversions, and chord extensions. Everything is connectable via MIDI Out to external DAWs or integrated virtual synths.
